At The Dirty Paw, each appointment will start with a free consultation to discuss your dog’s grooming needs. Before any grooming starts I will give your dog a thorough health check and depending on the condition of the coat will choose a suitable shampoo and conditioner.

 Bath, Brush, and Blow Dry

Your dog will have a double wash bath using shampoo suited to your dog’s coat and condition, then a blow dry and brush out ensuring the coat is left knot free, ears are cleaned, nails clipped, pads and the sanitary area cleared, and finished off with a fragrance spritz.

The bath and blow-dry groom is also designed to help keep your dog looking its best in between grooming sessions. These appointments generally alternate with a full groom and will help to keep the coat clean reducing the re-appearance of tangles and matting. This groom also reduces the stress of brushing and allows your dog to enjoy the grooming process. Breeds with a poodle mix will benefit from this groom and help to achieve the ideal coat length.

Full Groom

A full groom treatment includes a double wash bath using a shampoo suited to your dog’s coat and condition, the coat will then be fully blow dried and brushed out, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, pads and sanitary area cleared, body styling as discussed during the consultation and then finished off with a fragrance spritz.

**An extra cost will apply for heavily matted dogs**

 Puppy Package

A puppy introduction is very important in order to build your puppy’s confidence and trust in the grooming process. I recommend you start this process once your puppy has been fully vaccinated up until 6 months of age. Within the session your puppy will be allowed to get used to the noises and smells of the salon, have a bath using a chemical free puppy shampoo, a gentle blow dry, their ears cleaned, nails trimmed, pads cleared and finished off with a natural fragrance. I will move at a pace that your puppy is happy and comfortable with to ensure their experience is as pleasant as possible and no negative association to grooming is formed.

**Prices from £20**

 Hand Stripping

The hand stripping grooming process co-ordinates the shedding to make room for the new coat to grow. It keeps the right colour and texture to the dogs fur and is the proper grooming method for most terriers and some silky coated breeds. A gentle bath after stripping will be given with a sensitive shampoo and the ears cleaned, nails trimmed and pads and sanitary area cleared.
